Gary Barnett

Colorado is set to announce that Gary Barnett will be reinstated to his position as head football coach.

Now, I don't know how much (if anything) Barnett had to do with the mind-boggling amount of sexual misconduct charges coming from his program, but when a progam melts down like this, the head coach has to pay with his job. Hell, he should have lost his job when he insinuated that nobody cared about Katie Hnida's rape allegations because she was a lousy kicker. Just unforgivable.

Sweet jesus this man is evil. I hated him when he was all over the news, and I'm pleased to find that I hate him equally much now that he's been in hiding for a while.

OK, so maybe not EVIL (that should probably be saved for people like Hitler), but he's at least a bad man with poor judgement.

Yeah, but the people in Colorado really rallied behind him, and he keeps his job.

Just one more reason not to move to Colorado.

From what I understand, part of the problem is that none of the charges have stuck, which makes it easy for people who want the coach to stay to say, "See, it was a fuss over nothing, no reason for a good man to lose his job, etc." If someone had actually gotten convicted, then I bet Barnett would have had a harder time worming his way back in.
