The Nightmare Team Strikes

Well, for the first time since switching to NBA players, the US Men's Olympic basketball team went down in defeat.

To Puerto Freakin' Rico.

It's just sad really. Can we have a do over and come up with a different team. Maybe one with more then 3 guys who actually know how to play the damned game?

Just a thought.

You imply that this team has three guys who know how to play the damn game. Charitable, don't you think?

You know it's funny.... back when the Dream Team was racking up 80-point wins over Angola in '92, I was thinking that it would be more interesting if other teams had a shot. Now that we're getting our butts beat by Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico?!), I realize that, no, Olympic basketball just doesn't interest me at all. Oh, well...

Poor Timmy Duncan... surrounded by all that selfish, arrogant, talent.

I would propose that the NBA and the NCAA both set the 3 pt line to International specs AND use the wider at the baseline zone... it would open up the middle for real playmakers and might even force the other players to actually learn how to shoot the friggin ball... no one can shoot anymore... just want to make the ESPN Top 10 with a dunk...

Plus, make them wear shorts that are say 2" above the knee instead of shorts that look like they just pooped in them and the poop is weighing them down.

Oh what a day at the Equestrian Events. Such controversey. First Germany win. Then they're dropped to 4th and then they're the winners again.

I hope you and your wife get to see that.
