Overheard at the Ballpark

Somewhere in the upper deck of RFK this afternoon, in the heat of another hot Blue Jays-Nationals rivalry game:

SON: Let's go Blue Jays!
FATHER: No. No, no, no. You never root for the Blue Jays.
SON: Why not?
FATHER: Two reasons. One, they're Communists. They come from Canada. They're not even American.

If there was a second reason, I didn't stick around to hear it.

Summer internship opportunities at Major League Baseball

Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) is interested in hiring several summer interns, effective immediately, to work closely with its legal and business development departments. These paid internships are located in New York City and may be for less than 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:
·Conduct intellectual property research
·Identify online trademark infringement
·Provide assistance to legal department in preparing documents
·Other specific tasks are considered confidential

Qualifications:
·Undergraduate- and graduate-level students with sincere interest in trademark and/or internet law
·Strong academic record and written/verbal communication skills
·Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
·Immediate availability continuing through August
·Related/relevant experience in Internet trademark is a plus
