One Quick Question...

Why is it, in a country at war abroad, with a multitude of problems at home, the presidential election is all about what happened 35 freakin' years ago?

Just wanted to ask...

Why? Because we, as a culture, have so much fun fighting about Vietnam. It's a national fetish, really. Vietnam defined the generation currently in power, so of course they want to obsess over it. It's historical narcissism at its finest.
